Our Mission The primary focus of the WBUA LLC is to recruit and train
qualified and dedicated baseball umpires interested in promoting the sport of baseball, with a concentration on "Fantasy
Camp Baseball" and AAU "Women's Baseball." The WBUA
LLC conducts training sessions, workshops and clinics devoted to the philosophy of officiating, umpire
mechanics and rule interpretations. As part of the curriculum we make available a variety of educational materials
to the course participants; including rule books, umpire manuals, interpretations, guidelines and rulings. The WBUA LLC is forming alliances with other umpire
associations and professional organizations in both the United States and in Canada to ensure that interested officials gain
additional experience and proficiency from these opportunities. The WBUA
LLC intends to liaison with local, state, regional, national and international women's and men's leagues
and athletic conferences to provide qualified officials for assignments and/or staff memberships.
Our Code of Conduct The integrity
of baseball is embodied in the Umpire upon whom the trust is placed to insure the game is played by the rules guaranteeing
fairness for those involved. The WBUA LLC is
committed to the highest standards of officiating professionalism and integrity both on and off the field. Umpires should never use any language on a player or manager which would result in disciplinary action if used
on the umpire. WBUA LLC umpires
not only represent this organization, they are also representatives of the sport of baseball. When representing the
WBUA LLC in public, umpires are to dress in a manner becoming of the
profession. Except in extenuating circumstances and approved in advance by the
WBUA LLC, all umpires must wear the uniform, including authorized logos, as
prescribed by the WBUA LLC. Umpires are to keep their uniforms in good
condition. Shoes should be polished, shirts and pants should be clean and pressed, and caps should be in good condition.
WBUA LLC umpires shall always
strive to treat the participants of the game, the management and coaching staff of the competing teams and the sport itself
with the utmost of respect and sportsmanship.
